I’m an aspiring UX Practitioner with an interest in all areas of User Centered Design. With a background in Computing Science, I have been specializing and recently completed my MSc in User Experience and Interaction Design. I am excited to embark on my first professional opportunity in the field and begin to grow my career, knowledge and experience.

UCD Toolkit Experience

  • I am mainly experienced with the Double Diamond Design Framework in the context of UX. Having utilised it to complete 4 projects to date.

    However, with a background in Computing Science, I have knowledge of several other agile frameworks and am able quickly adapt to any new methodologies.

  • Most recently, I employed Online user surveys, semi-structured interviews and secondary research to conduct user research. This was part of my proof of concept design within my Master’s project.

    Due to scope of other projects delivered not allowing for ethical approval, research gathered was primarily achieved through secondary research. However, I am aware of and would find no issue in employing any research methodology required for a given project.

  • I have experience in a wide range of methods to define the solution based on gathered user and stakeholder requirements:

    • Personas

    • Empathy/Affinity Maps

    • User/Job Stories

    • How Might We + Solutions

    • User Journeys/Flows & HTA

  • I primarily use crazy eights and sketching within the ideation phase of design projects. With use of paper prototypes to collect ideas gathered in crazy eights ideation.

    Wireframes can also be used for identification of layouts, identifying any issues prior to higher fidelity prototyping.

    Figma is my primary method of designing high-fidelity prototypes. However, I have experience in several programming languages so can utilize this to further develop designs.
